Active 20-30 & Child Guidance Team up for Biggest Holidays Families Event Yet.
The holiday season is a time for families to come together and celebrate, bond, and create lifelong memories. For families in treatment, the financial burden of providing holiday meals, gifts, and essential items such as warm blankets, jackets, and shoes can be overwhelming. The Henrietta Weill Memorial Child Guidance Clinic has partnered with the Active 20-30 Club to provide our families with a holiday experience.
This year will mark the Clinic’s 16th Holiday Families gift drive, and our goal is to make it our biggest event yet. The Clinic has partnered with the Active 20-30 Club to provide our families with a traditional holiday experience, complete with a tree to decorate, gifts to open, and meal to enjoy. To reach our goal, the 20-30 Club will match every donation received between now and December 1st. Donations can be made at hwmcgc.org/donate.
What makes the Holiday Families Program special is that our donors are able to participate in the entire process. This year we will be holding a special one-day shopping event where donors will be able to shop for their sponsored family and receive a special discount for all their purchases. This event will be held on December 13th at the Rosedale Highway Walmart. Donors can also opt to have volunteers shop on their behalf. If you would like volunteer to shop, wrap, or deliver gifts this year, please visit our volunteer page.
We are very excited about this year’s event and the opportunity to support so many more families. We want to thank you in advance for you contribution and a special thanks to our new friends at the Bakersfield 20-30 Club and Walmart.
