Under the Direction of the Facility Services Manager, assists with and performs the maintenance, repair, physical inventory control, custodial duties at Clinic facilities and does related work as required. This position requires a high school diploma or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required skills and abilities; the ability to read and understand labels and warnings on containers and supplies; the ability to select and use appropriate chemicals, solutions and tools that are required for specific tasks; basic mechanical skills; ability to exercise sound judgment; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and the public; and ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; possession of a valid California Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance and reliable transportation are required.
This position requires a high school diploma or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities; one year general office/receptionist/file clerk/data entry experience, preferably in a health-care environment.
Requires knowledge of standard office procedures; alphabetical, numerical and chronological sequences; proper spelling, grammar and punctuation; ability to operate various office machines, operate a computer at beginning level; thirty (30) wpm typing/keyboarding speed.
Operates multi-line telephone and accurately transfers and announces calls.
Greets at front desk; directs individuals to proper persons and locations; answers questions and disseminates basic information regarding Clinic services.
Checks clients in for appointments.
Verifies Medi-Cal or other insurance eligibility; collects client payments and issues receipts; provides information/admission packages to clients and verifies completed paperwork.
Oversees waiting area. May be required to supervise the behavior of clients in the waiting room.
Maintains the file room and mailroom in a neat and organized manner.
The work performed by the Therapist III requires two years clinical practice beyond licensure; advanced therapeutic skills and proficiency in the areas of supervision, organization, data collection and program development and evaluation to be performed under minimal supervision. Assists Program Manager with training and supervision of subordinate clinical staff.
Provides assistance to the Program Manager in the supervision of subordinate therapist staff in a designated program, which may include: individual clinical supervision; conducting staff meetings, signing progress notes for unlicensed Therapists; reviewing and submitting requests for time off, sick leave and schedule changes to Program Manager for approval; and supervising and coordinating unbilled Medi-Cal services.
This position requires a high school diploma or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities; three years secretarial/general office/data entry experience, preferably in a health-care environment. Knowledge of psychiatric and medical terminology preferred.
Requires knowledge of standard office procedures, alphabetical, numerical and chronological sequences; proper spelling, grammar and punctuation; ability to operate various office machines including transcription equipment, operate a computer at a beginning to intermediate level, ability to use Microsoft software applications; sixty (60) wpm typing/key-boarding speed. Skills to be demonstrated by testing. Requires ability to demonstrate effective communication skills orally and in writing, demonstrate effective public relations skills in dealing with the public, clients and staff with courtesy and diplomacy; demonstrate effective organizational and time management skills. Ability to read and follow written instructions, understand and follow oral instructions; utilize analytical and problem-solving skills; remain current regarding policies and procedures; perform duties under pressure and/or with constant interruption; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, other professionals and the general public. Possession of a valid California driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance are required.
