WHEN:          Thursday, December 8, 2011, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

MEDIA:         The media is invited to attend this worthwhile event.

Twenty-six percent (26%) of families residing in Delano are currently living below the poverty level. The HenriettaWeill Memorial Child Guidance Clinic would like to assist the many disadvantaged children in Delano that are in need of shoes.

The mission of the Henrietta Weill Memorial Child Guidance Clinic is to provide
mental health and substance abuse services and the resources necessary to
promote wellness and recovery for Kern County children, adults and families.

In keeping with our mission, the Child Guidance Clinic will host an event to provide new shoes to children Kindergarten through 5th grade in the Delano Elementary School
District.  Since many children need shoes, our goal is to outfit 200 children through this much needed project and to make this an annual event.  (Note: All referrals for children needing shoes must come from the Delano Elementary School District.)
