The Blanche and Irma Weill Foundation is one of many organizations that has consistently provided funding for the Child Guidance Clinic. This Foundation has also played an extremely important role in the success of the Clinic. The Foundation was established in 1954 by a number of concerned citizens, including Blanche and Irma Weill, who inherited their philanthropic spirit from their mother, Henrietta Weill. The proceeds derived from the sale of the Weill family property were used to purchase the land and fund the construction of a building to house the Clinic at 804 - 11th Street. The Child Guidance Clinic rented the building from the Blanche and Irma Weill Foundation, which returned the funds to the Clinic at the end of each year in the form of an annual contribution. Since then, Foundation contributions have been made to the Clinic to fund various programs and projects. To date, the Foundation has contributed more than $640,000.00 to the Clinic. The Foundation also donated the proceeds from the sale of the Clinic buildings and property on 11th Street to help finance the construction of the current facility at 3628 Stockdale Highway.

The Blanche and Irma Weill Foundation continues to financially support the Clinic through funding special programs.  Currently, the Blanche and Irma Weill Foundation contributes to the North Bakersfield After-School Tutoring Program, called "Tutor Time".  For more information regarding the Blanche and Irma Weill Foundation, please contact:
