Foundation
The Weill Child Guidance Foundation's supports the Henrietta Weill Memorial Child Guidance Clinic by planning, coordinating and hosting fundraising events and through our planned giving programs.
Fundraising events hosted by the Weill Child Guidance Foundation may vary from year to year but the ultimate goal remains the same: to help raise funds to offset the operation cost of the Henrietta Weill Memorial Child Guidance Clinic to ensure that Kern County children and families receive the mental health and substance abuse services and the resources necessary for recovery and well-being.

Planned Giving Program
The planned giving programs offer unique ways to ensure future funding for the Clinic. By including the Weill Child Guidance Foundation in your estate plans, you can promote the mental health of children while planning your own future. A planned gift benefits both the donor and the recipient. You benefit from the satisfaction of knowing that your gift supports the work of the Henrietta Weill Memorial Child Guidance Clinic in our community. You will benefit as well from substantial tax savings and by the income generated from your gift. The Weill Child Guidance Foundation benefits by putting your gift to work to meet the challenges we face in protecting young lives.

Charitable Remainder TrustsA Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) can be established through a donation of cash, marketable securities or real estate with a minimum value of $50,000. Your CRT will pay you either a fixed dollar amount (annuity trust) or a fixed percentage (unitrust) of the CRT's assets for the rest of your life, or for a predetermined period not to exceed 20 years. You may also receive a charitable tax deduction for the full fair market values of the donation reduced for the actuarially estimated anticipated income derived from the trust Charitable Gift AnnuitiesWith a gift of cash or marketable securities, you can purchase a charitable gift annuity that can provide you or a designated beneficiary an annual lifetime income payment.Gifts of CashThe Weill Child Guidance Foundation gratefully accepts gifts of cash at any time. For federal income tax purposes, you may deduct the full amount of your cash contribution up to 50% of your adjusted gross income in the year of donation. You may carry the deduction forward for up to five years after the year of donation if necessary. Checks should be made payable to the "Weill Child Guidance Foundation."Gifts of Marketable SecuritiesA gift of appreciated securities (stocks, bonds or mutual funds held by the donor for more than one year) is frequently the most economical way to give. Transferring such assets to the Foundation may provide you even greater tax savings than you would receive with an equivalent gift of cash.Life Insurance PoliciesA gift of life insurance may be donated by designating the Weill Child Guidance Foundation as owner and beneficiary of the policy.Tax-Deferred RetirementMost Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and 401K plans allow your money to accrue interest tax-free, but income and or estate taxes must be paid on any income withdrawn by you or your beneficiaries. By naming the Weill Child Guidance Foundation as a beneficiary of a tax-deferred retirement plan, you can save on estate and income taxes.Charitable Lead TrustA lead trust allows you to transfer marketable securities, cash or real estate to a trust that pays the Weill Child Guidance Foundation an income for your lifetime or for a specified number of years.A Significant GiftWe would be pleased to count you among the caring friends who have expressed their commitment to children's mental health by making the Henrietta Weill Memorial Child Guidance Clinic a very real part of their legacy. We would be happy to work with you in designing a gift. A bequest is one of the most forthright ways to support the work of the Clinic. Through your Will, you can leave cash, securities, objects or real estate as a living legacy to our county's children and help the Weill Child Guidance Foundation continue its vital efforts. We will work with your tax or legal advisor to ensure your future and help your family while helping to ensure the Clinic's continued work with the children or our community.
